Caputo WIns Penn Mutual Life of Significance Award at 2016 CRC

Chester, PA- This past weekend saw sophomore wing David Caputo be presented with the Penn Mutual Life of Significance Award at the 2016 College Rugby Championship in Philadelphia, PA.

The award is given out annually to a college rugby player who exemplifies the shared core values of rugby and Penn Mutual, those values are community, loyalty, commitment and integrity. David was nominated by his head coach for the work that he does with his non-profit, Literacy Link, that provides books to libraries and other organizations in and around Boston, MA.

David was given his award during a nationally televised event on NBC this past Saturday. Penn Mutual also donated $5,000 on behalf of David to GIRLS, inc., an organization that he has worked with in the past, and gave the rugby team $1,000 to use towards RHINO Rugby gear.

UMRFC is incredibly proud to have him win this award and represent his family, team and school is such a positive light.
