He will be competing for a spot in the top 23 and starting 15 this fall.
With that being said, let’s learn some more about the promising sophomore!

Height: 5’ 11”

Weight: 190

Year: Sophomore

Major: Undecided

Hometown: Vicksburg, MI

Why Rugby?:
I wanted to be on a competitive team, learn a sport I had never played, and meet new people. I also always enjoyed contact sports so Rugby was an easy choice.

What have you liked about Michigan Rugby the most so far?:
The camaraderie and commitment that is shared throughout the team.

Most Memorable Moment on the Pitch?:
Breaking the line against GVSU. I broke the line and had around a 30 meter run that ended up setting us up to score a try in the next phase.

What’s your favorite rugby drill in practice? Least Favorite?:
My favorite drill is 2 on 1’s and my least favorite is the conditioning.

What other sports have you played?:
I played Football, wrestled, and pole-vaulted in high school.

In 5 years what do you see yourself doing?:
Either in some kind of graduate degree program in a good school or having a job that I really enjoy.

What’re some embarrassing childhood memories you can share with us?
Around the time, I was six and my older brother was seven we found a pair of scissors on the kitchen table. We each decided that we needed to try out a new look and took turns cutting each others hair. I ended up having a strange bowl cut in the back and mohawk in the front combo. I was incredibly proud of it for the 2 hours it lasted before my parents saw it and shaved it off.

Favorite place in Ann Arbor?:
Tie between the big house and BTB.

Biggest Fear?:
Heights.

Favorite food/meal?:
Breakfast is definitely my favorite meal and if I had to choose a food it would be french toast.

Any gameday superstitions?:
A strange little habit I somehow got is tying my cleats more times than I need to. In the 20 minutes before a game, I might tie my cleats 4 or 5 times just to make sure they’re right.

Favorite superhero and why?:
Batman because he doesn’t have any superpowers but is still a superhero.

Best advice you’ve ever received?:
Do your best.
