Freshman 15: Lyric Kleber

2 Dec 2015 by Brandon Sparks

After a long hiatus the Freshman 15 are back! This is a quick question and answer profile to help introduce our freshman class. Check back weekly for a new edition of the Freshman 15 to meet the future stars of Michigan Rugby!

Lyric took to rugby like a wolverine to the woods stepping in as a freshman with no prior experience to play scrum-half or our academy side. While he is still undecided on what subject to study if he brings the same work ethic he has on the field to the classroom we have no doubt he will be a success in whichever major he chooses. Here is Lyric’s Freshman 15!

Hometown: Kalamazoo, MI

Position: Scrum-half

Dozer diving over the pile on a counter ruck and taking out three guys, even though it was a penalty.

What are you scared of?
Injuries

The silliest thing you bought with you to college?
My “money tree” plant.

What is your hardest class? Why?
AnthroBio 201 is my hardest class, because it’s a lot of memorization of scientific terms and Latin names for primates.

I wish I watched enough rugby to have a favorite player…

What annoys you?
When people have no idea what they’re doing, and let it show.
